Here are some of the workshops I’ve taught in the past. If you’ve got other skills or concepts you’re interested in exploring with me at your studio, please let me know!

Bird of Paradise (Int/Adv)

Whether you're nearly there, or you'd like to start your journey to Bird of Paradise, this is the workshop for you!

We'll have an extensive warm-up to get the upper back and front splits ready. Then, we'll spend the majority of class learning a bunch of tricks! We'll learn BoP-adjacent tricks that (1) will highlight different aspects of securing a bird of paradise, and (2) are just awesome cool tricks to learn on their own if you're not quite ready for the full, final expression of BoP. Basically, there'll be something for everyone to work on!


Prerequisites:
• aerial jasmine -- you can do them without skipping a beat on both sides either from a climb or an invert
• ballerina -- you don't have to love her, but you have to know her
• jade -- comfortable with any version of this split, and does NOT have to be flat

Let’s Get Wavy, Baby (All Levels)

60 mins

Body waves and leg waves are just the beginning of finding slinky moments in your choreography and freestyles. Whether you're new to slow and sultry, or a seasoned wave-r, this class will help you tap into it just a little more.

Class will start with an extensive warm-up to get the body warm and loose. After working through several skills and techniques to find your wave, we'll explore different prompts to find your favorite waves on and off the pole~~~


Recommend attire:
• anything you feel comfortable in
• pole clothing not required
• leg warmers and/or knee pads if you want
• heels, socks, or barefoot

Spin Pole Combos (Int)

60 mins

Can’t get enough of that ethereal aesthetic and floaty feeling when you dance on spin? We get it. Let’s get up the pole and explore shapes and transitions that lend themselves to spin pole.


Prerequisites & recommended attire:
• climb to the top of the pole on spin
• access to both an inside and outside leg hang in the air from either an inversion, or descending from a climb
• heels if that’s your preference

Strong & Flexy (All Levels)

60 mins

Achieve the ideal balance of strength and flexibility in this all levels flexibility class. Let's push our range of motion by working on both strengthening and lengthening drills that will reduce risk of injury and to work against gravity to find our most active flexibility.

Modifications will be provided for everyone from beginners to advanced flexy folk. Wear layers!


Prerequisites & recommended attire:
• come as you are
• but wear removable layers
• folks with sensitive knees should be bring small towels for added knee support where appropriate

Eagle, Cocoon, & Co. (Int)

60 mins

You’re obsessed with backbends on the pole too?! Let’s get after backbend-focused moves like eagle, cocoon, and their friends in this intermediate pole tricks class!

We'll have an extensive warm-up to get your entire back warm and ready. Then, we'll explore moves that highlight your backbend!


Prerequisites & recommended attire:
• hold a bridge/wheelbarrow for at least 10 seconds
• access to both an inside and outside leg hang in the air from either an inversion, or descending from a climb
• heels are welcomed: they’ll help you reach your feet more easily!

Fifi Sock Flow (Beg/Int)

60 or 75 mins

Fifi Sock Flow is a beginner/intermediate-level choreography class perfect for students who want to explore slow and intentional movement close to the ground but also want the space to explore the fluidity of their own style!

Fifi’s classes are great for students who want freedom to connect to the music, and for those who want to begin their freestyle journey.


Prerequisites & recommended attire:
• familiarity with pirouettes
• basic shoulder roll
• wear removable layers; sweatpants welcomed
• socks to slink around
• knee pads

Invert Technique (All Levels)

60 mins

Inverting on static. Inverting on spin. Inverting to a leg hang. Inverting up the pole. The technique needed for all the variations of getting your butt over your head have a lot in common, but there’s more to the nuance.

Learn more about the different techniques that will help you unlock your first inversion, or to refine existing skills.


Prerequisites:
• ability to descend into a chopper from an aerial jasmine
• climb to the top of the pole on spin

Bendy Pole (Int/Adv)

60-90 mins

(No, you don't have to be naturally bendy to take this class 🙃)

In this pole tricks class, students will dive deeper into the bendy side of pole. Class will begin with an extended full-body warmup, and then work into active flexibility stretches. The goal will be to get you as warmed up as possible and ready for up-the-pole bendy tricks such as tulip, reiko, Remi sit, all the splits, bow & arrow, crescent moon, and more)!


Prerequisites & recommended attire:
• climb to the top of the pole on spin
• access to both an inside and outside leg hang in the air from either an inversion, or descending from a climb
• bring your heels to help catch that foot!

Floor Play (All Levels)

60 mins

Want a different way to get from one pole to the other? Or maybe you've seen shoulder balances in your favorite low flow choreography. Or maybe you just like those rolls 🍣

In this specialty class, students will learn basic shoulder rolls, and explore different tricks while balancing on the shoulders. We'll explore pole-assisted shoulder rolls, and free-standing rolls.


Recommended attire:
• shirt with sleeves. Or maybe one of your mom's 90's shoulder-padded tops 😂
• socks to slink around
• knee pads
• heels optional and encouraged
